The School District of Cape Girardeau is looking for a full-time Middle School Art Teacher for the 2023-24 academic year.

 

Brief Description of Position:

The Middle School Art Teacher will provide assigned schools with a coordinated art program aimed at expanding student appreciation of art as well as art education techniques.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Art (or equivalent)
• A valid Missouri Teaching Certification
• Successful student teaching
• Demonstrated skills and talents in both formal and informal art media.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Skills in human relations, leadership, and conflict management.
• Knowledgeable of teaching techniques that meet the diverse needs of students
• Demonstrate skills in computer word processing, spreadsheets, and databases
• Experience in formative assessments, cooperative learning techniques, and data analysis
